Staircase Bookshelf

Image
I am now on Instagram! Follow me at  www.instagram.com/fun_minecraft_builds/ A fun and simple bookshelf build that is designed to look like a staircase. For this build you need to combine bookshelves and barrels in a grid format. On the tallest side, add some oak trap doors to create a wall of sorts. As for the decorations, feel free to add an arrangement of potted plants and lanterns on the top of each stair.  Video Tutorial:  Try doubling up the build and making the staircase even larger. You could also make a second staircase and mirror it with the first set to make more of a pyramid shape.  As usual, please let me know how your build turns out :)

Tall Crimson Bookshelf

Image
A made a new bookshelf design with crimson themed blocks and decorations. The materials used include stripped crimson wood, barrels, bookshelves, a soul lantern and potted plants. I also added in a crafting table for additional functionality. This build would look create in a nether fortress if you were to convert one into your base. It also works for homes found in crimson wood biomes or those that are nether themed as a whole.  To create another adaptation of this bookshelf try using warped wood instead of crimson. The build would remain the exact same but would be a teal blue colour.  As usual, please let me know how your build turns out :)

Diorite Lava Fireplace

Image
If you are looking to spice up your Minecraft base living room, consider building this fireplace. The build combines smooth diorite, glass, leaves and lava. Add some chairs and/or a table in front to make it more of a living or meeting space. Make sure to be extra careful when placing the lava in survival mode, and always put the leaves on after the lava has been contained in the middle.  The chairs used in the photos are made from smooth diorite slabs and birch trap doors.  Granite, smooth stone and stone bricks will also work well for the fireplace and furniture if any of those materials work better with the design of your base.  As usual, let me know how your build turns out :)

Simple and Modern Berry Planter

Image
This is a super simple yet very modern looking plant display for outdoor areas and yards. All that is required to make this build is black concrete, one grass block, a berry bush, and a lantern.  If you like this design, consider putting more than one side-by-side to create a beautiful wall design. You could also try using other concrete colours. Another interchangeable piece of this build is the berry bush itself. Consider placing in a leaf block, flower, or potted plant to replace the bush. As usual, let me know how your build turns out :)

Fancy Checkered Plant Shelves

Image
Checkered Shelves are a tasteful way to showcase plants, framed items, or mob heads. All that is required to make this build is white and black concrete and the item you wish to showcase in the middle. I used a dark oak sapling and cactus because they are some of my favourite potted plants and they look striking against the concrete blocks. Feel free to get creative with this layout and add more squares into the mix. You could even make an entire wall with this pattern of shelves!  As usual, let me know how your build turns out :)

Fancy Painting Display with Bushes

Image
This elegant painting display combines modern design aesthetic with natural and organic aesthetic. Through the use of white concrete, grass blocks, trap doors, bushes, and a large painting, this simple build will bring an empty wall in your Minecraft home to life. Add lanterns (or soul lanterns) for lighting in front of the painting. This build works best in modern home designs that use concrete for their walls. If you aren't the biggest fan of berry bushes then substitute them out for a nice flower arrangement or some leaf blocks. Blue and red flowers tend to go well with the white concrete! As usual, let me know how your build turns out :)

Bunk Bed and Couch

Image
I am now on Instagram! Follow me at  www.instagram.com/fun_minecraft_builds/ This is a simple bedroom build that combines a couch with a bunk bed. The build uses a small amount of space and can fit into most tiny Minecraft houses and bases. Materials used in this build are stripped logs, ladders to access the bed, trap doors as the bed frame, stairs as the couch, and lanterns/plants to decorate. Once it is completed you will be able to sleep comfortably, and even have a guest over to crash on the couch! As usual, let me know how your build turns out :) Our Minecraft builder/author also makes shirts! If you would like to support the blog, please consider checking them out below!
