Barrel Storage With Lamp Post

This design was created out of barrels, fences, wood and a lantern. The small storage area you see here would be perfect beside any small house, shed or in a yard. The open concept design allows for easy access to your items and has a clean, simple feel to it.


Try adding some chests into the mix with the barrels for this build, or turning some barrels on their side to diversify the aesthetic. Other leaf block styles could also work well.

The materials used include Smokers to cook the food, spruce planks for the border, wood stairs for the counter, and hoppers for the vents.  For decoration you can add walls above the hoppers to make it look like pipes are leading outside of your home. If you want to change this build consider using other styles of wood stairs and planks. Normal furnaces can also replace the smokers if you want to cook ores as well. The minimal decoration pieces here (the dried plant and the lantern) can also be changed to whatever plant and lighting style works for your Minecraft home. Simple Forest Watch Tower

This tower design works well on the outskirts of small forest towns or natural villages that you are occupying. There is enough room at the top to throw some barrels and a bed, which makes this tower ideal for evading creatures during the night. With the minimal resources required, this should be a pretty fast build.  Try making this tower in other biomes and with new wood types! For example, you could make this tower in the jungle with some jungle wood. As usual, let me know how your build turns out :)

Jungle Wood Reading Desk

The build was designed to fit a 1 block by 9 block wall, making it perfect for even tiny Minecraft homes. All you'll need are some jungle wood stairs, a lectern, signs, trap doors and some barrels for storage. You can decorate the desk with whatever plants or lighting you like.  Another approach to this build would be to replace the lectern with an enchanting table or crafting bench.
